I wrote that subject line just so I could use "2011" in some context. I'm probably going to be writing "2010" on checks and letters for weeks to come anyway.
There will be no in depth review of the peaks & troughs of 2010. I review my thoughts, activities, work, hobbies and such on a regular basis so it's a bit redundant to redo it all at the turn of the calendar.
Similarly, I set personal goals every calendar quarter so there's no need for additional new year's resolutions. There are things I need to do soon --make appointments with my doctor and optometrist for checkups, for example-- but this has more to do with the reset of my medical savings account than it does any beginning-of-the-year fortitude.
New year's eve was fairly light for us anyway. We joined a bunch from our happy hour crowd at Town for cocktails before skipping over to El Sol de America for dinner. OMG, that was hands-down the best mexican cuisine I've ever had, yet the place was practically empty. The maitre d' informed us the menu & hours would be expanded shortly to include a brunch and luncheon menu so we will shortly have a fantastic brunch spot too. Yay!
cuyahogarvr crashed as soon as we returned home just before midnight.
kent4str and I watched the ball drop in Times Square via CNN. Before I could finally settle into bed for a solid night's sleep however, we got sucked into BBC America's Dr Who marathon. I think I was awake until nearly 3am.
