Glasses Returned

I forgot my glasses and a contact lens case at the home of John & Chris in Toronto when I was scooting through town a few weeks ago. While I was hoping to have my glasses back where they belonged before heading to Anaheim for the IAGSDC convention, I was thwarted by FedEx and US Customs who required multiple written assurances that prescription eyeglasses are not in fact munitions exploited by enemy combatants, and that it's wholly irrelevant whether the token $10 valuation was in Canadian or US dollars.

The paperwork and delivery now complete, the glasses are where they should be and drivers all around the greater DC area have one fewer extremely near-sighted hazard to worry about.

geez... US customs will let just anything slip by now. Clearly the danger posed by those glasses should have been tagged at least an orange alert :P

Nah, the orange alert was me being cranky because I had to wear my old heavy, ugly set when I didn't want to wear my contacts. :-)
