My Linux box connects to the outside world via dynamic IP so it could be that the IP address I have at the moment is blocked because of some evil activity conducted by someone in the past. I'll probably have a different IP tomorrow which might allow access.

Excellent! Our Pride was held in the midst of a rainstorm, so there were very few pretty, hot, sweaty shirtless bears. Maybe I'll go to NYC this weekend for their Pride....?

After yesterday's never-ending sauna, a pride festival in pouring rain sounds very appealing. :-)

I was particularly amused by the one of Kent in Baltimore -- whenever anyone looks at me over their (sun)glasses like that, I'm usually in Big Trouble.

Is it because I made rude remarks about your hairdo? if so, I withdraw all my unkind comments.

(for some reason I'm reminded of when our mutual friend David Townsend got a perm. I realised it was particularly ill-advised, but couldn't quite put my finger on what was wrong. You, on the other hand, nailed it in one line. "He looks like Marge Simpson!" I hasten to point out at this point, so I'm not negating my apology above, that I have never thought you looked like Marge Simpson.)

soooo - please ever-so-nicely, can I get a copy of the photo from Baldwin St? by PVT EMAIL if you prefer? I can reciprocate with pix of yesterday's Rainbow Flag Raising at Trawna City Hall.

i think it's an amusing way that the universe is getting back at me -- when I went to download this as a full-sized image, the download stopped (and assured me blithely that it was "done") about 20% of the way down from the top - stopping just north of my eyebrows. Showed my male-pattern-baldness off to great advantage.

YOU can blame the barber. *I* only have Mother Nature to blame. Well, or my own mother, male pattern baldness being on the X chromosome, but you get my drift.
