No Electricity

bjarvisWell, the power has failed here at home. Indeed, a large swath of the area is without electricity, taking out the traffic lights. From radio reports, most of the side streets I would have used for my home-ward commute were closed because of downed trees. In all, it took two hours to get home instead of 35 minutes.
At the moment, the DSL modem & router are running on UPS power and my laptop is on batteries. The other computers are powered down. We've opted to not attempt square dancing tonight because of the threat of further storms later tonight so we're sitting at home with nothing to do. Figures.
Edit: Right now, I'm so glad I have one of these since the basement computer room has no windows.
