cuyahogarvr beat me to bed. Being the angelic & loving incarnation of sweetness itself, I didn't turn on the bedroom light to select my wardrobe for the following business day per my usual routine. Since I'm up & out of the house while it is still dark and long before the other two are conscious, this has been my regular habit of making myself sartorially presentable to the planet, not to mention learning early enough in advance that I'm out of clean clothes. On the rare occasion where I forget to lay out my clothes in advance, I skulk through the closet with a flashlight to minimize the disturbance. Positively angelic, I tell you.
Sometimes, it goes horribly wrong. Or, in this case, just a little off.
By the light of a flashlight, it's awfully hard to tell the difference between a pair of black dress pants from dark green dress pants. In full light, it's easy to tell. One goes nicely with a grape oxford shirt, the other... not so much.
It's not a horrible clash blinding all who tragically visit my cube, but it's enough to make me less than comfortable. The fashion police won't kill me but a small fine is entirely possible.
Fortunately, I have time to swing by home today before calling C1 for the Ettseteras tonight in College Park, MD, subbing forjustetthon. Since work is going to be slow today as folks ramp up from the office calendar dead zone that was Thanksgiving, I'll have plenty of time to review my material, add some tweaks and possibly implementing some of the ideas which came to me last night while I was staring at the ceiling until late into the night because I ate too much dark chocolate almond bark before going to bed and instead of selecting the day's clothing.
