Remembrance
Feb. 16th, 2007 11:41 amToday would have been my paternal grandmother's birthday. Josephine Jarvis was born in the vicinity of Liverpool, England, in 1900; she passed away almost 20 years ago. I was studying at the University of Waterloo at the time and was a pallbearer at her funeral.
I didn't actually recall it was her birthday until I looked at my Palm Pilot this morning. Interestingly, I dreamed about her two nights ago perhaps the first time in many months so I was at least unconsciously aware of the pending anniversary. I remember the dream was largely a reunion, me expressing how much I've missed her over the years and her mentioning how proud she was that my life had turned out so well and a little shocked that she now had so many descendents.
It was a very nice dream, and I do miss her.
