Every gym is different. I've seen that behaviour (insane modesty), but usually only by a random goer or two. I've never been in a situation where everyone (or the majority) are like that. Seems really unfortunate — not because you don't have anything to look at, but if they're *that* paranoid, they must really be upset with their bits. There's the other end of the spectrum though — the fellows who walk around naked all the time and try and hold extended conversation with you. That's just a bit creepy. I don't know you. Get dressed and outta my face. In cruisy gyms (say, in SF), I find the creepy ogling blokes rather creepy, so I shower with the curtain drawn, but the towel rack is across the room, so they at least get to see the runway, but I don't feel like they're wanking to my soaping up. At least in the SOMA gym they're not that brazen.
I'd say don't even bother with a BMI measurement. It's mostly meaningless unless you're a total couch potato. It will only become less relevant over time (assuming you continue on apace). Do however, track all the other stuff you are tracking.
It's odd to me that your chest press 1RM is the same as your week 5 weight. Is that a typo? It could also mean that you were exhausted from something prior to the test.
You've got some really good progress in a short amount of time. This is the honeymoon period where you're likely to make big gains. Keep up the good work, and you won't plateau!
