Actually, it's not that suspicious: statistically, it would be unusual over the long run if there wasn't an occasional clustering from time to time.

In any case, I'm not too worried. The servers were different models of varying ages, racked in different cabinets on different power feeds and one set was even in a different section of the data center. I'm sure it's just a bit of randomness --but I'll be watching to see if any other clusters of failures happen again soon.
