I'd heard about this in European hotels, but I was a bit surprised to encounter it at the New York flyin last year! And we were ready for it when we got to our hotel in Turkey. However, being a couple, we had two keys in each location, so we were able to leave things on when we wanted to. I understand the desire to save the planet, but turning off the fridge? That's silly.
