I'm glad you got there safely. Do take it easy because the 11 hour time difference will probably hit you like a tonne of bricks in the next 48 hours.
And CDG is far enough out from Paris that all you see is light industrial areas and farmland when the plane is taking off; you didn't miss a killer view of the Eiffel Tower. =)
