OK, feel free to attack me for saying so, but - with all due respect (and I do mean that) - IMHO *neither* belief system has any evidence of credibility, but the Mormon beliefs are a bit like a parody of religions (as in "where on earth did they come up with THAT silly idea!"). One could argue that most organized religions are very anthropomorphic (as in we'll just make up this dogma to fit our little corner of the world as being the center of the world). Would I call the Mormons a cult? No. Am I likely to ever believe a word of their beliefs? Nope. :) Your mileage may vary.
