My LiveJournal 6th Anniversary

I joined LJ six years ago today. 2,937 Journal Entries, 14,475 comments received and 7,267 comments posted later, LJ isn't what it used to be thanks to the rise of FaceBook and Twitter, and now probably Google+, but it's still a fun place to hang out and post short essays rather than single sentence updates. Social media will change but I hope we never lose a place to post longer articles and have thoughtful discussions.

This is certainly my hope, too. I use FB for birthdays; I don't do Twitter; google+, we'll see. LJ suits me best, so I hope we'll be on here together for some time to come! Happy Anniversary!

I hope so too. It's a very different flavor than the short update, and I feel it allows me to get to know people more.
