I confess the whole famous-for-being-famous style of celebrity evades my comprehension: Anna Nicole Smith, Paris Hilton, Kim Kardashian, etc..

Celebrity meltdowns are pathetic but I at least can get my head around the nature of morbid public curiousity: Lindsay Lohan, Charlie Sheen, etc..

Pop stars in fields in which I have no interest are pretty common: Justin Bieber.

I'm still not sure how to categorize oddballs such as Snookie or her cohort. I just wish they'd go away.
