I'll be mailing off my deposit for the '11 Callerlab convention soon. (There's an 8/30 deadline for early-bird, I think). It's going to be yet again a crunch to get there. I have to work until 9:30pm on the Sunday night before the actual convention starts: Fiddler on the Roof is at the theatre. I'd love to get there a day or so early, but unless my job changes significantly, that ain't gonna happen.
There are a lot of published singers for rectangles of 12 dancers out there. But of course, there are the standard 8 dancer figures that work just fine. You just have to adjust the timing, i.e., drop all dosados and/or change the swing/promenade to just promenade. I'm not sure why you'd have to go thru the mental challenge of 'writing' singing calls.
