On the other hand, after we held science fiction convention "X-Con '77" in Milwaukee, WI in 1977, we got a letter from the city asking if we'd be interested in holding X-Con '77 in Milwaukee again next year (that would be 1978). So obviously the OTHER form of cluelessness is also present in convention vendors' minds.
