You will recall the motss.con 1991 in Trawna, which you and John organised. Well, .con xxii 2009 has just finished (in Portland OR), and in the on-list discussions, Mike Jankulak (jank+, who for many years has lived in Florida with Sim-the-Weather-Jesus) posted this item on "motss historical artefact".
Mike keyed "soc.motss" into the YouTube search engine and came up with this clip. It's about 6 minutes taken at the Toronto .con - mostly the BBQ on Toronto Island, and then back with their host (who I know but can't name).
I thought you'd like a blast-from-the-past. Can YOU identify the cast of characters? I know a visit to soc.motss would be very welcome to the current denizens. I haven't been very successful in identifying people, but I didn't really know these people (I wasn't ON soc.motss - heck, didn't have email or net connection - until September 91) and it has been 18 years.
