Mobile Broadband Rental?
Apr. 4th, 2009 08:41 pmAnyone have experience renting a mobile broadband modem?
It fell off my to-do list for the longest time but I'm considering renting a broadband modem for my laptop so my registration desk will have Internet access at our convention next week without having to sell my soul to the hotel's overpriced provider.
Advice & warnings welcomed!

Date: 2009-04-05 05:32 pm (UTC)Sprint is the only provider I've found whose "unlimited" data plan really is unlimited. At the time I was shopping around for a broadband modem, both Verizon & T-Mobile had data caps on their "unlimited" plans, with seriously high charges for data over the cap.
You can also try a Spring wireless broadband modem for 30 days, and return it for a full refund.
Not that I'm suggesting anything of the sort...
