Cleveland, Day 2

bjarvisToday was the first day of the Gay Callers Association caller school. I'm not registered for this year but made myself available in the beginners' class to help wherever I could be useful.
The class today was lead by Betsy Gotta, assisted by Barry Clasper. It's been a long time since I've been with a group of absolute beginners: these brave souls are ramping up from absolute zero (in some cases), having to learn very quickly about timing of delivery, basic vocal technique, ins & outs of the hardware, music licensing and fundamentals of choreography. It's no easy task but this is an exceptionally sharp group and they did vastly better than I did at that level.

cuyahogarvr, kent4str and I had dinner with Charlene, a close of friend of cuyahogarvr at a chinese restaurant not far from his former office. Huge portions and good food: I was stuffed.
Despite the overabundance of dinner, the guys still insisted on going out for ice cream later tonight after we returned to Casaohwolfman. No wonder this town is the fat capital of the US! Being saintly and a paragon of virtue, I deferred on the ice cream: the sugar at this time of night would simply keep me climbing the walls until tomorrow evening.
Bed time now... dawn comes early around here.
