kent4str and I just returned from a last-minute square dance calling gig for the Delmarvalous Squares in Lewes, DE. They're a small club --so small in fact that one of us needed to dance to complete the single square we had on the floor.

Small, however, doesn't mean unenthusiastic: we were dancing Mainstream the entire afternoon (12-2 PM), but they have great energy and enthusiasm. I hope their recruitment drive does well.

The downside, of course, is that they're a 2.5 hour drive from home. We left shortly after 9 AM, got there in time for the dance & set-up, dance for about two hours, then sought lunch before driving home again. At nearly 6 PM, I feel like my day is simultaneously nearly over and hardly started.

Ah, well... I'm now heading to the basement to begin assembling the much-needed supplies to de-winterize our trailer this coming Friday. Woo hoo! And
