The venue itself has an interesting story currently. The new management and restaurant chef have begun nickel-and-diming the Independence Squares (and, via the grapevine, some other groups who have used the facility) and have been wholly uncooperative this past year. The IS couldn't even arrange a breakfast plan as they could in prior years.
Next year, the fly-in is moving up the highway to Wilkes-Barre, PA. The brochures of the new venue look pretty good. The dates are also shifting to Feb 27, 28 & Mar 1 to avoid being too close to the 2009 IAGSDC convention and taking advantage of the lack of an AC/DC fly-in that February.
