Our office had early release at 2 PM today. I actually stayed to the bitter end, even though I had practically nothing work-related to do.

I had four major errands to accomplish today and all are completed:

  1. Shipped a package. See here for a cryptic reference.
  2. This past weekend, we bought a laptop for [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr's group travel planning business. Alas, it was having extreme angst flipping into extended graphics mode once WinXP started. I stopped by the computer shop with the intent of leaving it for a week while we were travelling to South Carolina but they addressed the issue with a complete replacement. I was on the road within a half-hour!
  3. MicroCenter sent me a card redeemable for my choice of a free 2 GB flash USB drive or 2 GB SD-RAM chip. After a quick stop at their store on the way home, I now have a 2 GB flash drive.
  4. I returned the sunglasses I purchased yesterday. They are very nice glasses but overnight I was struck with a nasty case of buyer's remorse: I just couldn't justify spending that kind of money on something I've done without for 40 years and would use only sparingly.

Now to have dinner, a nap and pack for a long weekend in Charleston, SC.

All I could think of when you said "early release" was a typical escort/masseur advertisement.

Although I've never seen one advertise "early".

My turn to abandon the office next ... just 7 minutes left. :)

Item 1, you have a missing or damaged close tag, causing it to appear as "See for a cryptic reference" with the underlined blue hyperlink continuing through item 2 up until the <lj user=> tag. This is probably not what you intended.

Yay, decent customer service.

I unfortunately had to stay until the bitter end of 5pm because our mail postal courier almost always gets there right at 5pm and I'm usually the last guy there. :-(

But I do get the next 2 days off though so that's good. :-)
