Am I Certifiably Insane Yet?

We taught a Mainstream class last night (Monday).
kent4str is calling for Baltimore tonight.
We were planning to go to C1 dancing in Arlington, VA, on Wednesday.
I'm calling MS/Plus for DC on Thursday.
Off to the trailer Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

That's a full schedule but manageable.

Late last night, we got word that Doren McBroom, the regular caller of the Wednesday C1 session, had a schedule conflict so the Wednesday session was cancelled. OK, that gives our schedule a bit more flexibility.

This morning, I was asked if I wanted to call in his place on Wednesday. As much as the home time might be nice, it's simply too great an opportunity to test-drive some new C1 choreography I have on-hand before springing it on a larger crowd, not to mention racking up more upper-level calling experience. I've said yes.

Now to see if we actually get a square of dancers together in time...

umm... while I know kent4str and cuyahogarvr are loyal and true and love you, "As much as the home time might be nice" is not just about sitting home, it's partially about who you're at home with. This is only one event, but they're the ones who rilly deserve your loyalty and time over the long run.

It would be nice if your calling gigs were spaced out more evenly overthe month but it seems like you have very few at the beginning of the month and are just swamped as the month nears the end. Then, you're burned out and can barely have enough energy at the beginning of the month when the gigs are light again. I don't have an answer, just an observation.
