Paydays Make My Day

I get paid tomorrow but employees may view their paystub online the day prior to funds being deposited in our accounts. As of this pay period, my 401(k) contributions for 2007 are now maxed out; this and all pay through the rest of 2007 will have a significantly larger take-home dollar amount.

The plan is to store away the extra money into savings but portions are ear-marked for moving cuyahogarvr here, paying for next year's IAGSDC convention suite, remodelling the master bathroom, and a chocolate sundae.

I think perhaps 2 chocolate sundaes are in order.

I remember fondly the years when I maxed out my 401k contribution before the end of the year. The first time it happened I was slightly freaked out.

I need to find my chocolate sundae equivelant; however, I'm not much of a dessert person. I enjoy strawberry ice cream, but not enough to build a proverbial shrine to it.

Anyway, congratulations on maxing out your 401K! You could start putting post-tax funds into your 401K!

Chocolate sundaes are the best. But don't you get matching contributions up to a percentage? They say you should space your 401k contributions out for the whole year so I continue to get matching for the whole year.
