There is a strong corelation between male facial hair and square dancing in general, I think. While I didn't get a copy of the IAGSDC membership photo, I noticed that 80% of the men in the GCA group photo had facial hair of some kind. The DCLS group photo percentage drops to 60% and the Chesapeake Squares percentage 50%, although the Chesapeake Squares has a much smaller contingent.
