This dance season [prior to my joining the administration team], Midnight Squares decided to try shortening the classes from 2 hours to 1.5 hours.
This experiment was, oddly enough, suggested by several of the club's callers who were scheduled to teach these very same classes.
At this point, with an early Convention, everyone's agreed: we're going back to two-hour classes for the same reason as you mentioned in your posting: There's just not enough [time] padding when things go wrong or slowly.
