It's events like this which remind me that I live with a past theater major. If you need a costume, it's already in inventory, he knows where he can get it or already has the pattern to produce it.
Need a disco mirror ball? We have one in inventory. A fog machine? Got one. Break-away theater bottles? Got three. Enough lights to set someone on fire from 50 feet? Got 'em. Sound system to blow out the windows of a mid-sized building? Just need a power source. Costumes to dress a half-dozen ushers in medieval garb? Did that last year. Props for a production of "How the Grinch Stole Christmas?" All we need is a replacement Pikachu pinata to paint & hot-glue face-down to a tray as the roast beast and we're ready to roll.
Thank god we have a lot of basement storage space.
