My hometown hits the news!

There was a train derailment and much leaking of sulphuric acid just north of Englehart, Ontario. The family farm is about 6 miles to the south-west of town; the parents' well water is well upstream and quite safe, and I'm confident the cleanup will ensure the damage is limited.

1,500 people? Who were they counting - the dead in the cemetaries? There's no way it's that big a town.

And why put lime in upstream, when the bulk of the acid is already downstream? Oh, well, better than nothing, I suppose.
