Danny threw an online article by me recently that didn't stick in my head, but it was something about receipts for cash donation rules changing soon...I'll have to explore that some more. I do make it a point to give checks instead of cash when I can, if I intend to claim it as a charitable donation, versus non-deductible political donations.

I have all my tax info put together, and it just needs a pluggin' into Turbo Tax. I have the same Schedule C issues as you, plus Schedule E for rentals split with my exe! Fun, fun, fun!
