Our turnout was relativley low among our membership of 2 years or newer, but amazingly high among lapsed members, those who no longer live close enough to attend regularly but not so far they had to fly in. $25/seat was probably a bit of a barrier to some as well, but since it was set up as a fundraiser for the 2009 convention, the orgnizers couldn't easily compromise on that item.
