Ah! If only I was rich too. Unfortunately, the University pays enough to live on, but not a huge (IT type huge) salary. So for the past four years I've run a sideline business. I charge $60 an hour, but no travel time... big mistake. My customers are consistently at least 30 minutes from home! Which, when you factor in a one hour call cuts my effective rate in half. Most are gentlemen with a certain type of picture collection, that prevents them calling the Geek Squad to come fix their computer :-) It generates a little extra income, which means we can occasionally have something other than meatloaf. I am dreading the introduction of Vista, since I'll either have to refuse those calls, or buy a machine to run it on and learn yet another Windows system.
