Guess where I was for lunch today?

I suspect it's called "Five Guys Burgers & Fries" because one needs five people with healthy appetites to eat the enormous quantities of french fries shovelled into the bag. I needed nearly five minutes of eating just to find my burger at the bottom. And it was so worth it.

I still maintain the best french fries in the world are served in a paper cone and served from the back of a converted bus in the parking lot of a lakefront municipal park in any predominately francophone village in north-eastern Ontario or north-western Quebec. And served with ketchup, salt and vinegar as the good Lord decreed. Still, the fries I had today were in the top three I've enjoyed over the decades.

The trip home via the Metro was unexciting although I was back at the ranch for barely a half-hour before the office buzzed, requiring me to head to the data center in Virginia to swap an HBA card in an HP blade server. While I was there, I took care of some minor stuff I thought up overnight and composed a small shopping list of things I need.

Tonight, I'm calling a square dance in Baltimore, [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr will be square dancing in Virginia and [livejournal.com profile] kent4str will be passed out on the couch. That's how you'll know the universe is in complete equilibrium.
