Wilkes-Barre, PA -- Day 1

Mark A. took the train overnight up to DC and arrived chez nous around 8:30 AM. He curled up for a refreshing nap in the guestroom while cuyahogarvr headed to the gym for an early workout. I worked in the office cleaning up files and my work email box; kent4str slept as late as he could.

We were on the road shortly after 11 AM and the traffic was pretty good all the way to the hotel. Thanks to the magic that is my Crackberry, I was able to respond to email from the office, convention registrants and my convention management team while zipping down the highway (kent4str was driving... even I'm not insane enough to send email while driving.)

We're staying at The Woodlands Inn & Resort; outside of our room being a bit on the small side --but still very comfortable-- it's a nice place. It breaks my heart that wifi doesn't reach our room but at least the ethernet service is free of charge.

kent4str and I each called an A1 tip in the first hour of dancing, then spent the bulk of our time in the C1 hall with Tom Miller and later C1/C2 with Betsy Gotta. I'm dancing some but am trying to pace myself: my right knee is being moody and I forgot to pack my knee brace. Doh!

Time for bed now... the day starts early.
