I'm Ready for Sleep Now
Feb. 24th, 2009 11:22 pmTonight concluded my 12th consecutive day of square dancing. I'm officially ready for a brief break.
The joy began February 13 with a three day Advanced workshop with Ken Ritucci. Mondays are C2 class night. Tuesdays are Chesapeake Squares nights. Last Wednesday was our C1 group in Arlington, VA. Thursday was DC Lambda Squares. Friday was Zig Zaggers. We joined
justetthon and friends for a C2 workshop last Saturday and co-hosted a caller mini-workshop chez nous on Sunday. There were also two DC Diamond Circulate convention planning meetings mixed into the lot.
We have Wednesday and Thursday of this week without dancing or calling, then a three day weekend of dancing & calling at the Independence Squares' fly-in in Wilkes-Barre, PA, followed by our regular Monday night C2. An extended break follows.
I like square dancing --a revelation, I know--- but damn this is a long stretch. No wonder my right knee hates me.
