I know you were all waiting impatiently for some brilliant & witty posting about my thrills-a-minute life, but I'll have to disappoint today. So far, it's a pretty mundane day.

After collecting [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr from the airport yesterday afternoon, he curled up in bed and hasn't stirred more than few minutes of a time since, the poor exhausted thing.

[livejournal.com profile] kent4str and I attended a meeting for the 2009 IAGSDC convention but there were no great revelations, insights or announcements from that. I've even finished typing up the minutes.

Work I had lined up for the night shift this weekend has been punted to next weekend so my planned activities for today have been abbreviated.

Today is payday, but every penny plus $1,000 more were instantly used to pay off my credit card. I usually keep my card usage well under control but we racked up the Mastercard purchasing the ceramic tile for the bathroom renovation project. I could nip into savings or the house line of credit for the money, but I'd rather use operating funds than touch the reserves at this point.

My next calling gig isn't until next Friday (Advanced, for the Zig Zaggers in Arlington, VA). We are hosting a four hour C1 practice & drill session for Happy, [livejournal.com profile] meinfs and [livejournal.com profile] cuyahogarvr on Sunday but it's pretty informal so there's no pressure there.

I'm planning to spend the larger portion of Saturday's daylight hours helping [livejournal.com profile] ubel_josh and Skip move apartments. I hope it doesn't rain much.

The big, shining success of the day was simply parking my car on the street away from any nearby trees and thus giving it the most thorough car wash it's seen in months thanks to the heavy rains of last night.

Can I go home now?
