bjarvis: (sleeping)
It was another ugly night of nearly no sleep. I'm not sure why I haven't been able to sleep well for two nights running... it's not as though I wasn't tired. Usually, I adapt to new accommodations fairly quickly but I'll be grateful to sleep in my own bed at home tonight.

I wanted to attend Ben Rubright's one hour "intro to C2" session this morning at 10 AM but I'm not sure I'm up for any dancing at all in my current state of mental exhaustion.

We've just wrapped up the Advanced hour of guest callers from the Gay Callers Association. We lead off with a tip by Chris Phelan of Wilmington, DE, followed by Drew Allen from Philadelphia. [livejournal.com profile] kent4str and I were co-emceeing (sp?) so once our guest callers had a crack at the mic, [livejournal.com profile] kent4str called a tip and I wrapped up the hour. My tip was very successful, if I do say so myself.

There's still another half-hour of dancing in the main hall with the staff callers but there's now only two squares of dancers left. I walked around to clean up the other halls and pack the extra calling sound systems; shortly, we'll start taking down the banners and packing up the DC Diamond Circulate 2009 promotional materials.

We're taking Ben Rubright tonight, then driving him to BWI tomorrow to send him back to Florida.

With this fly-in nearly done, I'm done with fly-ins & conventions until Cleveland's IAGSDC convention in early July and their Load the Boat fly-in in early October.
