Our county has a handful of photo radar vans which park randomly along certain streets, hoping to snap images of vehicles going faster than the posted speed limit.

This morning on I270 northbound, one of the vans passed me in the slow lane, going 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. I barely had time to grab my cell phone for this shot as he blew past me:

I was calling our regular Tuesday evening club night for the Chesapeake Squares last night. Turnout was pretty high: we had two full squares on the floor for Mainstream and Plus with enough extras chatting & socializing to form a third if they were inclined. We even had a square of Advanced, a pleasant surprise.

The new Mainstream dancers who completed their class in Feburary were doing very well: I was a little concerned about their relatively slow start but all are dancing with only minor hesitation. In another month, they'll be indistinguishable from the longtime Mainstream dancers.

If you haven't registered for Pass the Ocean, Hon!, the Chesapeake Squares' annual fly-in in Rehoboth Beach, DE, the rates go up this Friday. Register now!
