Day Off?! Yeah, Right.

It was officially an employee holiday but I felt busier at home than I have been at the office in weeks.

We slept in a little, but after kent4str went to hell to his office, cuyahogarvr and I got to work around the house.

He had already shuffled and repacked a number of boxes from his recent move. This time, we were sorting between items which were going to Goodwill, going to his children or staying with us but need examination to see if there are duplicate items in our newly merged household.

Towards 10 AM, we were off on errands: a stop at Goodwill to drop off several boxes, a run up to Sam's Club for some bulk grocery shopping, Giant for still more grocery shopping, Sprint for questions concerning cuyahogarvr's cell phone plan, Wachovia to deposit a check and Chevron to fill up the minivan's gasoline tank ($54!).

After a late lunch, we were back at the salt mines, making four trips to our offsite storage locker with a Grand Caravan minivan packed with boxes, furniture and other such things.

Fortunately, we're beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel: the garage is largely cleared and the basement rec room is now passable. cuyahogarvr will be making additional trips to the locker on his own tomorrow with misc smaller items so we'll have even more space returned to common usage soon. Whee!
