As Far as Mondays Go, It's Not Bad
Sep. 10th, 2007 06:13 pmOn the whole, it's a good day.
I didn't go to work today: I went to bed with a whopping headache last night and while I was feeling fine this morning, I decided to have a mental health day.
While I didn't go to work, the day wasn't unproductive. Early this morning, I dropped
cuyahogarvr and Bob off at BWI. It was sad to seem them go (esp.
cuyahogarvr but I received a telephone call later in the day to at least let us know they've arrived safely.
I've finished a tonne of laundry, sorted the clothes previously laundered, sent some e-mail confirmations for DC Diamond Circulate 2009 convention registrations, sent e-mail to various IAGSDC clubs and the LGCWSD mailing list to remind folks of the upcoming registration rate change, ordered some square dance music from dosado.com and delivered newsletters for the local civic assocation.
And as I write this, I'm sitting at the local Rockville, MD, Honda dealership, treating my Civic to its 90,000 mile maintenance check.
Tonight,
kent4str and I are calling for a DC Lambda Squares open house, a three hour joint event with Capital Country, a local country/western dancing association. There's possibly a presentation by a rep from the DC Mayor's office about declaring September "Square Dance Month" in September or something like that... I'm pretty vague on the details. Frankly, I no longer have any idea what the agenda or schedule is for tonight: we're winging it and trusting the DCLS board folks will fill us in as needed.
