LJ returns, not that it should have gone anywhere in the first place...

LJ isn't such a huge portion of my life that I was severely inconvenienced by last night's outage. God knows I had enough other things to work on.

Still, how is it that a single power outage can take down the entire system? Do they not have backup power, servers distributed between more than one data center to provide redundancy, etc?

Square Dancing Travels

cuyahogarvr managed to score us a suite in Cleveland for the July 2008 IAGSDC convention so we'll be rooming with tdjohnsn and rlegters once again. Yay!

cuyahogarvr, kent4str and I have also purchased our air fare for a trip to Seattle to join the Puddletown Squares for their Halloween fly-in. There's a chance we'll even be calling a little bit, schedules willing. Hey, that means we can write off the travel expenses too! Yay!

It's not square dance related but we're also off to Ontario in three weeks for a family wedding. I'm looking forward to a return home that doesn't include burying someone. :-^
