Jul. 19th, 2007 10:44 pmMy fourth square dance event and third calling gig of the week is now complete.
Tonight was to be alternating Mainstream & Plus level calling for the DC Lambda Squares but since everyone present was at least class-level Plus, we alternated class-level and full Plus.
On the whole, I think it went well. I started very well but found I was second-guessing myself and trying to sight-call more interesting material out of fear of being repetitious. We wrapped up the night with a square of very experienced dancers who encouraged me to do harder material so I threw in a number of lefty calls and non-standard positions to (hopefully) spiff it up a little.
Now I need to get some dinner and pack for a weekend at the trailer.
