Mar. 16th, 2007
Happy birthday,
Mar. 16th, 2007 10:20 amI'm delighted to say I've been making headway on a number of small but nagging issues in the past 24 hours.
Last night's committee meeting for the 2009 IAGSDC convention went very well. There were a handful of useful & constructive changes recommended for my draft registration form. All of these have now been implemented; I sent a revised draft to the committee members this morning.
Our club web guy is back from vacation so I was able to talk with him about offering online registration and he endorsed my suggestion of using the IAGSDC web site maintained by
abqdan. I began testing this morning and just dashed off an e-mail to coordinate efforts with our web guy, pre-convention registrar
discord35 and
abqdan.
kent4str and I were asked if we'd consider some calling gigs with the Zig Zaggers, an A2 club in Arlington, for early 2008. We finally got our calendars together to look at the proposed dates and replied we'd be happy to take up any or all of the dates the club was offering.
I'm still need to finish composing A1 choreo for the Independence Squares' event at the end of the month but I have 80% of the material ready. I also need to review the C1 choreo I've written for next Wednesday's session. I have however completed my revised schedule of calls for the Monday night mainstream class, taking account of the loss of a few prior sessions and the church being unavailable on Easter Monday.
There are a handful of issues still to tackle, but I've itemized & prioritized the work-related ones on my cubicle whiteboard as a reminder and I'll get most of those done today.
And today is payday, which generally makes my day brighter no matter what else is on the docket.
