Thanksgiving + 1
Nov. 25th, 2006 08:18 amFriday morning, we continued our journey from DC to Charleston, SC. After an overnight stay in Lumberton, NC, we drove the remaining 2-3 hours to Charleston and with only minor traffic confusion, found the home of ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
cuyahogarvr's youngest spawn, Maurita. cuyahogarvr was waiting for us, and after Maurita's roommate Sarah was ready for her work shift, we followed her car to our hotel, the Renaissance on Wentworth Street in downtown Charleston.
The three of us went around to the market during the early afternoon, window shopping and generally site-seeing.cuyahogarvr bought a lovely framed print, I spent a wad of cash on chocolate and we all enjoyed large quantities of very good ice cream before returning to the hotel for a short nap.
In the evening, Maurita joined us for dinner at the restaurant at the Renaissance where we had a delightful tasty meal --with thanks to Sarah for her employee discount. Sometime close to midnight, the kids headed for home and we crashed in preparation for an early Saturday.
