Happy Birthday,

Oct. 8th, 2006 11:10 pmThe weather forecast was predicting sporadic showers and overcast skies. I replaced the windshield wipers in my Civic as the old ones were getting a little worn. The weather forecast changed within an hour to warm winds and clear blue skies. I'm sure these are linked.
I've spent the largest portion of the day attacking the growing disorder in the computer room and the office, as well as the living room coffee table. Papers have been patiently waiting for filing for a long time and while I could locate anything I needed, the appearance of these layers of tree pulp was unsightly. I'm proud to say that all is now sorted & filed.
I still need to sift through my stacks of square dance 45s. I want to identify the 45 rpm records which correspond to the MP3s I frequently use: the matching vinyl will be preserved and all else should be disposed of somewhere, either given away to other square dance callers or simply sold on eBay. I have too much inventory and its time to trim the stacks.
My desire to do away with clutter did make someone very happy this morning. In the garage was an immaculate pair of men's ice skates, size 8. Lovely skates, but too small for either myself or
kent4str. Within an hour of advertising them on the mailing list of our local civic association, I had a neighbour drop by to collect them. Her son has out-grown his old pair and this new acquisition has spared her money. Everyone wins.
