Aug. 6th, 2006 07:17 pmWith the Columbus husbands
jearbear65oh & David in town this weekend for a Friday night concert, we found ourselves with little to do on Saturday afternoon. So, what do you do to kill a couple of spare hours in the greater DC area? You go skating!
( Photos here. )
Not one of us wiped out, although I almost hit the ice when a kid of about 8 years of age swerved in front of me and almost caused a serious collision. I did manage to avoid him although it was close.
Following skating, we indulged in ice cream before heading home to nap for an hour.
We met with Nate & Cliff for dinner at the Banana Cafe in SE Washington, then went to see an amateur production of "The Gondoliers" sponsored by the GLBT Arts Consortium and finally ended our evening at Remingtons. We didn't dance a step --I wish I was a better two-stepper but that will require some time & effort I can't particularly spare at the moment-- but it was nice to schmooze with the boys and meet a couple of guys (esp. a cute local named Scott).
We were home just before 2 AM and I fell into sleep almost immediately.
In a minor aside, I suddenly recalled that
kent4str & I have known
jearbear65oh & David for 10 years last month. Happy anniversary to us! :-)
