Ah, snow!

Finally! Snow! It's been a while.... Good news: I'm finally in the Christmas holiday spirit. Bad news: Two months too late. Figures.

Sadly, the snowfall has made a total hash of my weekend instead of my work week as God intended.

I was hoping to go skating this morning but that was scrapped since (a) I couldn't get out of my driveway and (b) the rink is under a foot of snow. The concerts by DC's Different Drummers for last night and this afternoon have both been scrubbed, which threw my plans of a quiet evening at home by myself into disarray. (Dinner tonight though is still an option, fortunately.) The concert has been moved to Monday night which has forced the cancellation of dinner plans with a friend, as well as rehearsal time prior to calling on Tuesday. In short, my schedule is utterly f****d up, although not entirely beyond salvaging yet.

New Plus class graduates!

Our latest Plus class --12 in all-- had their last class yesterday afternoon. Because of the threat of foul weather, this last session was rather rushed: we danced through lunch and declared ourselves done by 2 PM instead of 4 PM as planned. They've got the basics down but haven't had much reinforcement, esp. of the latest series of new calls; we'll fix that at club night this week, a previously scheduled MS/Plus dance night.

ACDC is now only a few days away... anyone on LJ attending? Kent & I are taking a room at the Marriott to avoid commuting home & back daily and so we'll be a bit more accessible for last-minute issues concerning the running of the event. See y'all there!
