Another successful club night

Kent & I were on stage for the Chesapeake Squares last night in Baltimore. I had wondered earlier in the day if we'd have enough for even a single square but instead we had more than the usual turn-out, including two full squares and a handful of guests. Yay!

Overall, I think our calling went pretty well, although my A2 tip stumbled pretty badly. At first, I suspected my material; as a quick test, I pulled out two very easy A2 tips which had worked flawlessly at last week's DC club night and both of those imploded as well. When they squared up again, I noted that our two weakest A2 dancers were opposites in the square: on any call above a Plus level, rather than knowing their part, both would stand staring at each other to determine where they should go. My preference at the moment is to run both of them back into the next available A2 Plus class. Anyway, I threw away my prepared material and sight-called the rest of the tip as Plus with occasional light drifting into Advanced.

The rest of the evening was pretty smooth and we were on the road home by shortly after 10 PM.
