Laptop Battery Replacement

bjarvisGeeks know about the notorious worldwide Sony battery recall. For the uninitiated, Sony designs & produces lithium ion batteries for a vast array of laptop manufacturers as well as their own line of computers. There is a design flaw in many of their batteries which causes them to overheat and possibly burst into flames.
The bazillion Dell laptops my employer has deployed --including my own-- use Sony batteries. Although it has performed flawlessly, the powers-that-be dropped by just a moment ago to swap out my laptop battery.
If anything bursts into flames in my cube, it won't be my laptop.
