Yeah, tell me about it. The obvious solution is to intentionally sabotage the effort so that I'm not sucked into future incarnations of it, but I'd rather chew my own foot off than do a task badly, even if the task really sucks.
I think I'll try to delegate the task to some other minion when/if it happens again.
