This. Despite knowing that I'd know people there (even ignoring you and Jo, I can count at least 3 others I know who'd be there) I'm not that comfortable going stag (as it were). Ditto for FSF (which I hear isn't what it used to be anyhow).
I might look into going next year. I might not. I'll probably still do IML in May, I might try for MAL in January... but finances being what they are, I'm doubtful.
