Yup, plastic display packaging which can't be opened with anything less than an arc welder. On the other end of the scale, wasteful overpackaging.
A couple of weeks ago, we went to Whole Paycheck Whole Foods to get vanilla beans for home-made ice cream. Each bean was sold separately. It its own glass jar. At $6 each.
